I was born and raised in a cult.
Though this is a shocking statement, and implies exactly the same underlying meaning as the reader might assume, I can be sure that some minds are picturing dark robes, candles on the floor, and some old guy peering through a hood with dark beady eyes. Not so.
This book is an examination of not only the William Branham cult called "The Message," but an examination of how cults in general evolved over time. While many may feel that this particular cult is unique, we quickly find that it has its roots all the way back to Cain and Abel and slithers through time like the trail of a serpent.
