The small-town serenity of Camp Verde, Ariz., has been shaken by fears that the pastor of a cultlike church will kill his flock on Christmas Day to prematurely trigger 'the rapture.' It isn't helping matters that the Rev. Jim Jones bears the same name as that of the Peoples Temple minister who in 1978 led 912 followers in a mass suicide in Jonestown, Guyana.
