Thus Saith The Lord
Thus Saith the Lord? The German Monography, Thus Saith the Lord? William M. Branham – Life and Teachings“ has recently been published by Deutscher Wissenschafts-Verlag and will be presented at this year’s Frankfurt Bookfair (16th-20th October). The author Roy Weremchuk was in close contact with John Collins during his research work and is especially acknowledged. Even though there are only few Branham followers in Germany, there are individual Message-Churches and house churches. The largest community being those associated with Ewald Frank in Krefeld. So far, no revealing literature on William Branham was available in German. With the present monograph this has dramatically changed. In the first part of this valuable volume the author deals with the life of William Branham in detail, considering his early history, spiritual influences and his rise to fame as a healing evangelist and self-proclaimed prophet. The second part deals with Branham’s heterodox theology, his image of God, his self-image and his gnostic “Serpent Seed” doctrine. It also covers Branham’s teachings on the seven angels connected with the so-called seven church ages, the last of which he understood himself to be. After a critical examination of many of his scriptural claims and prophecies, the impact of his appearance within the Christian community and the emergence of the Voice of God Recordings is thematized. The book closes with a critical summary of Branham, who is considered to be a false prophet by the author. The book also has an appendix containing a picture section and 28 short helpful biographies of various individuals such as John Alexander Dowie, Mary Baker Eddy, Jim Jones, William Miller, Charles Taze Russell and Joseph Smith Junior. This publication, due to its enormous amount of detailed material, material not based on hearsay or subjective, personal opinion, but on detailed and extensive - and especially confirmable - research, should prove to be of immeasurable value to anyone wanting to know who Branham was and what he stood for. It covers all the bases and leaves no stone unturned. The references and cross-references make it possible to follow up on all the statements or claims made so that the reader is not dependent on the author’s word for it alone. It is highly recommended for anyone doing research on Branham. Written in German. https://dwv-net.de/produkt/thus-saith-the-lord-william-m-branham-1909-1965-leben-und-lehre
