1933 Prophecies, Female President, Los Angeles, and a Global Pandemic

The world has changed.

Several months of a global pandemic that has resulted in lockdown for many countries has produced many different side effects. If one were to base their opinion solely upon the news, it would seem that the world has changed only for the worse, with little hope of change for the better. There is no doubt that it has been a difficult time for many people, and that many are still suffering after having experienced the loss of life, work, and in many cases separation. But there are also some good things that have resulted in all of this, and we are starting to see those results manifested through traffic patterns and messages sent to us from many new faces.

Events that break regular patterns of behavior for people whose lives are controlled by the undue influence of a destructive cult are very powerful towards their escape. Especially events that include separation from other cult members, isolation, or life-changing experiences. In fact, for leaders of destructive cults, these types of events are the number one adversary. During them, cult leaders become more active in describing a soon-coming "breaking away", "cleansing of the 'fold'", "chastisement", or similar. They are fully aware that some people under their influence will leave, and they are proactive in turning members likely to remain against the member who breaks free.

When people under the undue influence of a destructive cult experience these types of events, and especially during times alone while separated from other members, they begin to reflect on past experiences and begin to process what they believe and why. Their authentic self-identity, after having been suppressed for sometimes several years begins to surface, and the cult identity that has suppressed it becomes powerless in preventing their minds from processing non-cult-related old memories, thoughts, and feelings. As a result, many people begin to realize that their real personality could never be aligned with some of the destructive agendas, objectives, and theologies that the cult has indoctrinated them with, and suddenly begin to wonder why they allowed themselves to be influenced and how this happened against their will.

The destructive cult following of William Branham collectively called the "Message", is no exclusion to this rule.

Since the pandemic started, our "1933 prophecies" page has quickly risen to the top of all search results. (https://william-branham.org/site/topics/1933_prophecies). Prior to this, traffic was equally split across blog posts describing church scandals, usually those blog posts describing the abuse of power that resulted in sex or money. Before the pandemic, even those most indoctrinated could not suppress their natural curiosity for the details of a good scandal. The past several months, however, have placed questionable cult doctrine into the spotlight, and once entering the balance scale of interest, it is now becoming evident that a large majority of people have begun soul-searching.

This begs the question: why? Of all of the things that William Branham said in disagreement with the Apostles or Old Testament prophets, incorrect about his own history and more, why are people suddenly reviewing his failed and frequently changed or re-written[1] (1931,[2] 1932,[3] or) 1933[4] collection of "seven"[5] (to 18) prophecies?

The answer to this question may be found by examining two pages that quickly rose to second and third in the ranking of traffic statistics. After the election of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, people began entering the site with Google and Yahoo keywords "woman president" or "California sinking" using several variations of those keywords and the name "William Branham". Suddenly, our Female President page (https://william-branham.org/site/topics/female_president) and our Los Angeles Prophecy page (https://william-branham.org/site/topics/los_angeles_prophecy) rose to the top of our list of traffic. According to messages sent to us by several newly-escaped or soon-to-escape "Message" cult members, cult leaders have claimed that this election was the fulfillment of "prophecy", and this came as a great surprise to them after for decades having heard a much different description of this "prophecy". Many cult members remember being indoctrinated as a child to believe that Branham's "prophecy" introduced in May of 1955 for the election of President John F. Kennedy[6] predicted a female president and they were unaware that the alleged "prophecy" changed to include a "vice-president" or the "Catholic Church as a woman"[7] and some of them remember Branham saying that this "prophecy" was already fulfilled with JFK.[8] As their minds begin to reflect on what William Branham actually said across several sermons instead of the agenda that cult leaders have been promoting for years, it seems they are struggling to reconcile why this "fulfilled" prophecy became "unfulfilled" after the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

The rise of the Los Angeles Prophecy page, however, is more revealing. While a female did enter the White House as Vice President, and the rise in traffic to the 1933 Prophecies or Female President pages can be attributed to that event, the city of Los Angeles did not sink as Branham predicted. There was no significant change to this "prophecy", leaving cult leaders no wiggle-room to bind it to any current event. At the same time, many cult members distinctly remember those same cult leaders -- including William Branham's own sons -- placing a specific timeline on this event. "Before Billy Paul [now 85 years old] is an old man".[9] All are aware that 85 years of age is long past being old.

At the same time, there are many events that are difficult to align with Branham's alleged vision of the time leading up to the End of Days. Rome is not a dominating world power and has not conquered Communism as Branham claimed.[10] Or, for those who were indoctrinated to believe Branham's alleged prediction in the reverse, Communism is not dominating "Romanism".[11] The automobile industry did not transition to egg-shaped cars, nor to self-guided cars for the general public as Branham claimed to have predicted in 1933 for two versions of his alleged prophecy. Instead, the automobile industry seems to be focusing its attention on the design of flying cars,[12] and Branham's alleged vision of a family playing a board game while the vehicle guided itself[13] is heavily outdated[14] and faces many legal challenges.[15] Christians have not united in a "world council of churches",[16] and that Council has for many years been struggling due to damaged image and lack of support.[17] Simply put, the world today looks absolutely nothing like the picture that William Branham and modern Branham cult leaders have painted as an "inside view" of the Apocalypse, and this seems to be sparking either an exodus from the cult as a whole or a separation of specific members from specific cult leaders. The difference between what we see today and what cult leaders have been saying is a very large crack in the proverbial dam separating cult victims from freedom.

Based on the sudden surge in traffic to these specific pages, questions sent to us through email, social media, or our contact page, it would appear that the dam is about to burst. We are seeing a surge in people escaping the cult in cities in multiple countries, and the number of people reported is less than the distinct number of users visiting those pages. Some have escaped to freedom, and it seems that many others are considering their escape.

While reflecting on today's circumstances and their negative effects, remember the positive. The global pandemic is also making causing people to have more compassion, filled with more skepticism, and to become more critical of the cult's core values that do not align with their moral standards. Cult members are no longer amused with the lack of compassion displayed during sermons, very turned off by the cult leaders ridiculing former members or displaying great pleasure in their destruction. Human decency is spreading, and love is increasing. Even those fully indoctrinated are starting to plead with former members instead of condemning, ridiculing, or despising them, and many former members once "shunned" are now starting to see communication -- even if limited or cult-centered -- begin to resume. There are many silver linings to this cloud.
