Why Did VOGR Doctor The Photo?

May 31, 2021

A researcher has just pointed out that Voice of God Recordings has a different version of the photograph of the early Billie Branham Pentecostal Tabernacle shortly after transitioning from Roy E. Davis when Davis was extradited to Arkansas on charges of Grand Theft.  The original photo, if you remember, had a person that appeared to be inked out.

Voice of God Recordings produced a video of the "history" of William Branham in Jeffersonville, carefully avoiding the information that we published in our docuseries and never mentioning the changes with each version of his stage persona.  When they discussed the early tabernacle, they used the photograph of the person originally inked out, but appears to have photoshopped the back of a woman's hair over the inked out person.  ... and if so, did a very poor job at photoshopping, as the edges of ink can still be seen.  The image is in "A Prophet's Hometown" on YouTube at 14:35.

This change makes the photograph seem even more unusual.  Every person in the photograph is facing the camera.  Except for the back of a woman's head, which sits oddly on an inked-out larger profile.

Some cult churches told their members that this was the "black figure of death" being captured.  If the hair is authentic, then "death" has hair.  Either way, it's very odd ...
