In February of 1963, while Jim Jones and his family were living in Brazil, a set of spectacular cloud formations in the shape of “giant smoke rings” floated across the state of Arizona. The largest of the two was 26 miles high and 30 miles across – much larger than any cloud should be and at a much higher altitude. UFO chaser James McDonald, researching the strange formation as professor of meteorology and climatology at the University of Arizona, was unaware that Vandenberg Air Force Base was testing intercontinental ballistic missiles on the day the cloud appeared. When McDonald calculated the cloud’s altitude at 140,000 feet – 40,000 feet higher than any cloud previously reported – it set both the UFO and The Message communities ablaze. Though William Branham was in Houston, Texas at the time of the missile detonation, he began claiming that the “cloud” was really a “pyramid” of angels from the other dimension that came down to visit him after another unknown being allegedly gave him a physical “sword" ...
