Another Branham Prophecy Failed Today

President Joe Biden will receive a routine colonoscopy today while he is undergoing a physical at Walter Reed.[1] The process, which requires anesthesia, means that he will temporarily transfer power to Kamala Harris, who will briefly become the 1st female President.  This event is a first for the United States and a historic moment, but it also marks the failure of yet another prophecy made by William Branham.

In 1955, William Branham introduced a claim into his stage persona alleging that he had in 1933 also prophesied that a female would become president. According to this new 1955 claim, he alleged that he prophesied a woman would rise to power as President of the United States. This claim would continue until the election of President John F. Kennedy was contested, at which time Branham started claiming that the "1933 prophecy" was uncertain, and might have meant the "Catholic Church". The New York Times, summarizing the political situation in late November 1960, described a "narrow consensus" among the experts that Kennedy had won more than he lost "as a result of his Catholicism". Branham and his Ku Klux Klan peers were strongly opposed to Catholicism.

Before the end time comes, there'll be a woman, that'll be a great ruler in this nation. She will either be president or something on that order, some great woman.[2]

A few days later, after Kennedy was fully confirmed, Branham began to claim that the "1933" prophetic vision described President Kennedy -- a male president instead of a female. He continued this new claim until the assassination of President John F. Kennedy rendered the new "prophecy" problematic and a "failed prophecy". From 1961-1964, Branham's stage persona would re-adopt an earlier version of the "prophecy" and shift back from male/Catholic to female/Catholic.

How many remembers that vision, here in the church? Sure. Said that, how that even Kennedy would be elected in this last election. How that women would be permitted to vote. … Now, and it said in there, "At that time, there'd be a great woman stand up in the United States. " And she was dressed and beautiful, but she was cruel in heart. And I got in parenthesis on the vision, even yellow paper, said, "perhaps the Catholic church. " And the women being permitted to vote would help elect the wrong person for this nation. And that's what they done. Exactly. [...] I got in parenthesis: "(perhaps the Catholic church). " See? "That'll take rulership over the power, overpower the others in the United States. She'll be beautiful to look at, but she'll be cruel-hearted as she can be. "[3]

• 1955: A woman will rise to power in America as a president.
• 1960: Women will vote in the wrong person (Kennedy), and a great woman beautiful and great would rise in the U.S. (perhaps the Catholic Church).
• 1960: A great woman, beautiful and cruel, will stand up in the United States as a president (perhaps the Catholic church)
• 1960: The vision showed Kennedy being elected. A great woman, beautiful and cruel, rising in the USA (perhaps the Catholic Church) caused by the women’s vote. Followed immediately by the destruction of America.
• 1961: The women’s vote will elect the wrong man, causing a great, beautiful, and cruel woman to rise to power (a church)
• 1961: Voting women would elect the wrong man (Kennedy). A great woman would rise in the US dressed in purple clothes (perhaps a ruler or the Catholic Church).
• 1964: A great queen rising in the US, beautiful and wicked.
• Church Age Book: Voting is connected with the decline in morals and the rise of a beautiful, cruel woman in America, possibly the Catholic Church.

William Branham's alterations to this prophecy, however, did not account for a woman being transferred to office, or a Baptist.  Following the white supremacy agenda, William Branham always included the Catholic Church as a controlling power due to the first female president, and only as a proxy for the Church.  Kamala Harris was raised in a combination of Hinduism and Christianity but considers herself a Black Baptist.[4]  Harris is by no means a proxy for the Baptist Church and a far cry from a representative of Christianity as a whole.  There definitely was no provision in this "prophecy" for a colonoscopy.

1933, the Holy Spirit came one morning and told me seven things that would take place before this nation was destroyed. One of them is that. It’s on old paper there at the church, many has looked at it. How that we would go to war with Hitler and they’d…How Germany would fortify and build a Maginot Line, or the Siegfried Line, I believe it was, eleven years before it was ever thought of. And how that automobiles would constantly shape like eggs. And how that they would permit women to vote, and, in doing so, they would elect the wrong President. And in this would be a woman stand up that would govern the United States; not actually a woman, but a church. Then I seen her with nothing but ashes. It’s going to happen.[5]

 This is yet another example of a prophecy of William Branham's that did not come to pass exactly as he said, and also an example of one that shifted significantly over time.  Will his follower heed his advice?

You can go to my hometown and find it one time, in all the times that It’s ever told anything, that didn’t come to pass just exactly the way It said. Now, you pin a sign on my back as a false prophet, and I’ll walk through your streets. Cause it’s not myself, I’m a man, but He’s God. And He’s the One Who does the saying. If I would say it, it could be a lie, ’cause I’m subject to any—any mistakes, lies, anything else, like anybody else.[6]
