Sarah Branham vs. Spoken Word Publications

We have received several questions concerning Sarah Branham and the dispute that she had with leaders in William Branham's "Message" cult of personality.  The video series and related research produced and published last year have continued to be one of the most active features of our website and video channels, the #1 most active when combined.

A former member of the cult asked about the business entities described in Gerald Lee Walker's intent to sue documentation, Spoken Word Publications.  It was apparently Walker's opinion that both Voice of God Recordings and Spoken Word Publications were claiming tax deductions on the same set of employees, and the bulk of operations today appear to be handled through Voice of God Recordings.  The question posted on social media: 

Does Spoken Word Publications still exist or was that turned into VOGR? Spoken Word is where we got almost all of our WMB books.

We realized that this is one area that we did not make fully clear, though all of the documentation for it has been published.  In her letter, "Take It With You", Sarah Branham accused one of her brothers of wrongdoing.  The business entity described in her letter, which is confirmed in Gerald Lee Walker's intent to sue documentation, was Spoken Word Publications.  

From Sarah's letter:

Just recently a noted lawyer in New York looked into the matter and showed me different bank statements which are still in my possession. One shows the amount in cash of 3,113,676 plus stocks 130,645 plus other things. This money was left untouched since the departure of my father. According to the notary document it is fixed for 25 years. I am asking myself what will be done with the large sum of money accumulated by now after the 26th of October, 1990.After the accident things changed dramatically. Suddenly Billy Paul was in possession of lots of money. He built a custom home with all gold fixtures and custom furniture. My mother was very upset. She told me that Billy Paul had fixed it in such a way that he will end up with everything. This has become obvious. His house in Tucson is empty and I have no place to stay. mother told me that he had forged my father's signature on that mentioned document to make an association that would give him power and access over the money my father left behind.[1]

Sarah Branham's letter exposing her brothers' business operations was sent from New York in July 1989.  Shortly after the letter was sent, Spoken Word Publications was administratively dissolved.  According to the Secretary of State, Administrative Dissolution resulted in Spoken Word Publications becoming inactive as of July 31, 1989, Filing Number 0000744823.[2]
