Powerful Statement by Kenyan Authorities - Shakahola Massacre

The death toll for the Branhamite sect led by cult leader Paul Mackenzie in the Shakahola Forest Massacre has now risen to 350 as authorities in Kenya resumed the opening of mass graves.  Twelve more bodies were exhumed on Monday. Combined with the missing, the total has risen to 963. Forty additional mass graves have been discovered, and more victims are expected.

Focus has shifted to the compound of cult member Titus Musyoka.  Mass graves were spotted near Musyoka's home, and a team of detectives and pathologists initiated phase four of the exhumation in that area.

The phase four exhumation inside Shakahola Forest began at the home of one of the suspects in police custody, Titus Musyoka, with detectives and pathologists digging where they had spotted graves in Musyoka's compound. While speaking at Igoji, Imenti South during the installation of the new Deputy County Commissioner in Igoji on Monday, July 10, Cabinet Secretary for Interior and National Administration, Abraham Kithure Kindiki confirmed that in Kilifi County, 339 lives had so far been lost in the Shakahola tragedy and that 40 mass graves had been discovered where more bodies could be found.[1]
