Cynthia Artish brings a thoughtful, historically aware Christian perspective to discussions about Pentecostalism, charismatic movements, shepherding theology, signs-and-wonders religion, and the New Apostolic Reformation. Having spent time around the Southern California charismatic world, including the Anaheim Vineyard era, Calvary Chapel circles, TBN-adjacent environments, and Full Gospel Businessmen settings, she offers firsthand perspective on how those movements affected real people. Cynthia's voice combines theological clarity, compassion for those harmed by authoritarian religion, and a deep concern for the difference between Scripture-centered Christian faith and performance-based spiritual systems.
Cynthia is also a lifelong musician, Celtic harpist, teacher, and clinical musician based in Diamond Bar, California. Raised in Huntington Beach, she began as a third-generation classical violinist before moving into progressive rock, improvisation, and eventually the American Folk Harp movement. Her musical career has included songwriting, recording, concerts, event projects, teaching, and clinical music work in healing settings since 1987. She has studied with Sylvia Woods, Dr. Janet Harbison, Kim Robertson, Alfredo Ortiz, and Deborah Henson-Conant, and has shared creative spaces with artists including Don Ellis, the Ramones, Hiroshima, Taj Mahal, Mark Mancina, Doug Smith, Kim Robertson, and Sunita Staneslow.
