Jenny McGrath

Jenny McGrath is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Approved Supervisor in the state of Washington, as well as a Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner and Certified Yoga Teacher.

After growing up in fundamentalist Christianity during the height of purity culture, she moved to Northern Uganda at age nineteen to serve as a missionary. Since disentangling from that world, she has dedicated her work to deconstructing and researching the effects of Christian supremacy and religious dogma on bodies and communities. She is a member of the Purity Culture Research Collective and believes that healing must remain connected to social justice. For Jenny, the pursuit of healing is an essential partnership between the individual body and the collective body.
