Sinners Be Damned
The 1950's version of William Branham's stage persona began showing early warning signs of destructive cult characteristics. It was this same stage persona that was used when Jim Jones of Peoples Temple joined William Branham's "Message" cult through Rev. Joseph Mattsson Boze of the Philadelphia Church in Chicago. The Latter Rain version of the "Message" was coming under more scrutiny by the Christian community, and rather than apologize for false doctrine, Branham began to condemn those who opposed the dying movement he and his peers helped establish and promote. The "sinners" bore the brunt of this battle between sects.

The Latter Rain version of the "Message" was coming under more scrutiny by the Christian community, and rather than apologize for false doctrine, Branham began to condemn those who opposed the dying movement he and his peers helped establish and promote. The "sinners" bore the brunt of this battle between sects.
During this time, Branham began teaching that "sinners" were not worth going after, and listed many things the audience enjoyed as "sinful". Movies and television were sinful. Ball games were sinful. Several of these new "sins" became adopted in the cult rules.
Like I said the other night about the hog, about the sinner. You can't blame... A sinner's a sinner; don't try to reform him. Don't try to tell him this, that, or the other. He's a sinner to begin with. He's a pig to begin with. He don't know no different. If he goes to the movies, and he goes on Sunday, and he goes to ball games, and he does all these things; he's a sinner to begin with. His nature's like a hog. The old hog stick his nose down in the manure pile and eat all the grains out of it and everything. Well, that's--he is a hog. You can't blame him; he's a hog. That's the way with sinners. But when you go and call yourself a Christian and stick your nose in with him, then you're no better than he is; but you're worse, "Come out from among them." Let go of the world. Let go. Let God.

Combined with the influence of Roy E. Davis and white supremacy, Branham's destructive doctrines excluded entire races of people. According to Branham, the Gospel was not for the Jews. It should be noted, however, that Branham's reference to the word "Gospel" was usually a reference to his "Gospel of Divine Healing".
Before this message is over you'll see it's THUS SAITH THE LORD by Word and by Spirit. Israel will be converted over, the whole nation in one night; the Bible said so. But the Gospel's not even to them. There's a few renegades that's out and so forth like that that come in and--outside of the main body of Jews that come in and get saved
