Wee Little Men
In the last year of his life, William Branham's stage persona adopted the notion that the Rapture would take place through flying saucers.[1] When speaking of the flying saucers, Branham instructed his listeners not to worry, because, "That’s the way the Rapture is going to be. One of them will drop right down, and this terrestrial body will take on a celestial body." At other times, Branham claimed that the UFOs were "investigating judgment angels".[2]

Prior versions of his stage persona, however, spread fear of UFOs. As fear of the flying saucers spread throughout the world in the 1950s, and UFO sightings were growing more common,[3] Branham began claiming that "wee little men" were coming to torment believers, "testing the power of God".
And here she was gleaning behind, picking up these little gleans. And the lord of the harvest fell in love with her, her being an alien. What a picture. My, I just love that. And then, he said, "Whose damsel is this?” And they begin to speak, and said, "It’s the Moabite that come in with—with Naomi.” And he went out to her, and spoke peace to her. And said, "Don’t you leave this field.” God be merciful. Stay put. Don’t be tossed about with every wind of doctrine; stay in the Word. All these things coming up like little saucers—flying saucers is going to come to the church, and little wee men coming through testing the power of God
